When I took on the role of Volunteer Coordinator at the end of the Mt. Hood Summit, I had no idea what to expect.   Would people actually volunteer to do work on their vacation? Would I have to beg and plead folks to take on some of these jobs? What I discovered was that people who sign up to go on a Family Nature Summit are pretty extraordinary. Dozens of Summiteers volunteered their time in countless ways this year. All areas were covered; childcare, office and Summit store work, Green Lifestyles Evening, van driving and countless other jobs that cropped up during the week. Not only did Summiteers sign up in advance; many stopped in the office just to see how they could help on any given day.   White Scarves were everywhere! So, a heartfelt thank you to everyone who made my job so easy, and I will look forward to working with all of you again at the Lake Tahoe Summit!
