Part of the mission of the Family Nature Summits is to introduce people to green lifestyles. At the 2009 Summit, we offered our first green lifestyles evening. This included a variety of green stations, each offering an activity for children and adults.

Here are some of the activities that were offered. Summiteers were keen to get the info so they could carry on with similar activities when they got home.

Recycled Crafts Station:

• "Cap-erpillar" - Make a caterpillar out of plastic caps and the string handles from shopping bags.

Gardening for Wildlife Station:

• How to make a Rain Barrel
• What Are Invasive Species

Green Cleaning Station

• How To Play the Laundry Game 

Green Pets Station

• Sewing a Catnip Mouse
