Family Nature Summit's Logo

Thank you and congratulations to Summiteer Lisa Rose for submitting the winning design in our logo contest. You will see this logo appear on all Family Summit materials.

The logo was designed with extensive thought as to how to convey the Family Summits image.

• The center of the concept is the universally accepted symbol of nature, the tree. The trunk of the tree is styled after the traditional symbol of peace. The variety of leaves on the tree represents diversity.

• Circling the tree is a group of people. Depicted are three adults and three children to embrace both "traditional family" and "non-traditional family" participation. They are embracing nature and connected to each other.

• The tree and people are contained within a square turned on point with its corners highlighted to indicate the directions and their corresponding seasons and elements. The implication is that the organization draws from, includes, and appeals to all of these things.

• Finally, the square is encircled by the name, indicating that the organization embraces all that is within.
